Elmo Arnold Robinson

Elmo Arnold Robinson (1887-1972) was a Universalist minister, philosophy professor, and historian of American Universalism. Born in Portland, Maine, he was ordained in 1912 and served congregations in Indiana, Ohio, and California before joining the faculty of San Jose State College in 1928, where he taught for thirty years and chaired the philosophy department. His historical writings include a two-part study of Universalism in Indiana (1917), The Universalist Church in Ohio (1923), and American Universalism (1970). Late in life he became the first minister of the Unitarian church in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where he died in 1972.
